Thank you very much for your participation at all our events. You made these events with your generous support of all the functions. In spite of some challenging weather conditions, the Annual Turkey Shoot ended successfully Monday evening.
There were too many helping hands to mention but very much appreciated.

As always, we are looking forward to our Halloween party Oct. 31, from 5:30 - 7:00PM

Continue to check our marquee for further announcements of fund raising events to come and don't forget our Thanksgiving Day dinner from 2:00PM to 5:00PM and Breakfast with Santa Dec. 17, from 9:00 - 12:00.

The Island Crier
Winter Edition 11/12 ends with the April/May edition.

We are back with our first edition after the "Harsens Island Flier's" last edition over Labor Day weekend Labor Day.

Thanks to Lion Gary Grout, we are able to provide a monthly not-for profit publication that provides the Islanders with an off season (winter months only) "CRIER" to promote, post civic activities and generally “keep in touch”.

The editor is Lion Gary Grout, garygrout76@comcast.net. He will accept your announcements monthly until the 15th of the month precedding publication.

Not affiliated with the Harsens Island Flier.

Copies will be available again at participating businesses in town.

You will be able to view a copy of the "Island Crier" also by following the link on the HISCFA website.

White Cane Solicitation

Once again, Lions will be offering a symbol of our service to the blind. During the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May, Harsens Island Lions will offer a smal white cane pin or tag for a donation. Please stop and donate whatever you can to help support Lions charitable endeavors.

Next Turkey Shoot Sep. 4, 5, & 6, 2010

If you missed the 2009 fun filled event for any reason, mark your calendar for the 2010 shoot on Labor day weekend. Our Lions, Lionesses and volunteer helpers made for a great 3-day affair.
After the opening flag raising at noon on Saturday, it was fun, entertainment, good food and drink while the shooters competed for "frozen" turkeys or honed their skills at the practice traps.

Thanks to all the volunteers who donated time, talents and raffle prizes which once again were varied and greatly appreciated by the lucky winners.

Hope to see you all next year...............
